BiciGo ("we", "our", "us") operates the BiciGo mobile application. BiciGo is a local-first app: your data lives on your device. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
BiciGo stores everything locally on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your ride or location data. • Ride data you enter or record (distance, duration, optional notes, dates, and — for live GPS rides — average speed and a down-sampled route path) • Your preferences (an optional display name, daily goal, units, language, and voice-cue setting) • Streak and statistics derived from your rides • With your permission, location used only during a live ride (see Location below) • With your permission, cycling workout data read from Apple Health (see below) • Purchase / subscription status processed by Apple and RevenueCat when you buy BiciGo Pro (see Third-Party Services) We do NOT collect your email, contacts, or require an account. BiciGo has no login and no analytics servers.
When you tap Start ride, BiciGo asks for location permission so it can measure your ride's distance, route, and speed in real time. • Location is used only while a live ride session is active. • With your permission, BiciGo may continue using location in the background so distance keeps counting when your phone is locked or in your pocket. Tracking stops when you finish or discard the ride. • Precise location and route points stay on your device. We do not transmit your location to our servers, do not sell it, and do not use it for advertising. • You can deny location access and still use BiciGo by logging rides manually. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → BiciGo.
BiciGo can connect to Apple Health to make logging effortless. What we read: With your explicit permission, BiciGo reads your Cycling Workouts and Cycling Distance from Apple Health. How it is used: This data is used only to automatically create ride entries inside BiciGo and to calculate your streak and statistics. All of this happens on your device. What we do NOT do: We do not use Health data for advertising or marketing, we do not use it for any kind of data mining, we never sell it, and we never transmit it off your device or share it with any third party. Writing data: BiciGo only reads from Apple Health. It does not write any data back to Apple Health. Your control: You can revoke BiciGo's access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → BiciGo, or by turning off auto-sync in the app's Profile screen.
• All app data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. • Ride and location data are not uploaded to us or to any cloud service. • Your data persists until you delete it (Profile → Reset all data) or uninstall the app. • Because data is local, it is not backed up by us. If you delete the app, locally stored rides (including live GPS rides) are removed. Rides imported from Apple Health can be re-imported by reconnecting Apple Health.
BiciGo is intentionally minimal: • Apple HealthKit — provides cycling workout data on your device, with your permission. Governed by Apple's privacy policy. • Apple App Store / StoreKit — used to distribute the app and process in-app purchases. • RevenueCat — processes purchase receipts and subscription status so we can unlock BiciGo Pro. It receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase metadata, not your ride or location data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. • Expo / React Native — the open-source framework the app is built with. We do not integrate advertising SDKs and we do not share your ride or location data with third parties.
You can: • Revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings • Revoke Apple Health access at any time in iOS Settings or in the app • Delete all your data in-app (Profile → Reset all data) • Uninstall the app to remove all local data • Contact us with any questions about your data Because we don't store your ride or location information on any server, that data exists only on your device.
BiciGo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy within the app and update the "Last updated" date. Changes are effective upon posting.
